VP Claims Compliance Manager

Chubb North America Claims seeks a NA Claims Compliance Manager to handle, oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Chubb Compliance Programs associated with Personal Lines, Property, Casualty, Automobile, Marine, Professional, Accident & Health and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs).

Responsibilities

  • Manage directly and through a team of compliance professionals the business compliance profiles and risk registers of NA Claims, inclusive of the management of key controls associated with Chubb’s Global regulatory and compliance risks.
  • Oversee and coordinate on behalf of NA Claims the market conduct examinations, audits, data calls and other state and federal inquiries, inclusive of the preparation of management and remediation action plans.
  • Provide information, guidance, consultation and recommendations to NA Claim staff and leadership, along with other internal stakeholders, on actions necessary to ensure compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements with respect to Chubb NA claim systems, processes, controls, and procedures. 
  • Communicate with senior management and other internal and external stakeholders on matters of significance, including developing areas of insurance laws and regulations.

    Provide recommendations and strategies for resolutions. 

  • Oversee the management of adjuster licensing and continual education opportunities for claim staff throughout NA Claims. 
  • Manage Medicare compliance programs and initiatives through a team of compliance professionals.

    Provide end-to-end holistic oversight and direction.

    Manage Chubb NA’s Medicare compliance vendors.

  • Conduct regulatory research in conjunction with legal resources and monitor regulatory changes that may impact the various lines of business and insurance programs.

    Identify gaps, weaknesses, and deficiencies, and create ongoing improvements in claim compliance programs. 

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of insurance industry experience across multiple lines of insurance within the area of claims compliance, administration, and operations.
  • Broad based knowledge of jurisdictional insurance regulations and privacy laws, with extensive experience with federal and state regulatory schemes.

    Knowledge of Medicare regulatory requirements, policies, procedures and developing laws.

  • Strong analytical and technical skills to understand “root causes” of compliance deficiencies and respond effectively and efficiently with necessary short and long-term solutions, recommendations, and controls.
  • Experience with data collection and reporting software.

    Skilled use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams). 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently execute and deliver in a dynamic and developing environment.

    Strong ability to prioritize and consistently deliver results.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage at all levels of the organization.

    Able to work independently, as well as in groups.

  • Prior management experience required.
  • Travel required (25%).
  • Vice President or Assistant Vice President level, depending upon prior experience.

Educational and Professional Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited U.S.

    or foreign university or college.

    J.D preferred.

  • Industry designations or compliance certifications preferred.
