Experience Design at Best Egg is being reimagined, and we are looking for a trailblazer to lead the charge toward creating financial experiences that are not only digital but vibrant, inspiring, sustainable and challenge the status quo.

Reporting to the Head of Brand Strategy, the Senior Director, Digital Experience Design will imagine the future of personal finance, drive new initiatives, set a high standard for excellence across the design organization and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary set of stakeholders and leadership.

What youll be doing…

• Define and build what Digital Experience Design means to Best Egg and our customers

• Curate the Best Egg Experience Design Language and own how to govern quality and accessibility standards for all products

• Recruit, oversee, inspire, and mentor a team multidisciplinary UX/UI Designers that will help you achieve your vision for the team and the company

• Champion and develop the team’s ability to challenge previously-established thinking patterns, and discover new ways of problem solving all while being a clear and effective communicator

• Introduce and champion Human Centered Design methodologies across the organization that aligns our products into a holistic experience

• Partner with Director of Consumer Insights to ensure thoughtful and well utilized investigations to build a stronger understanding of product evolution

• Drive a culture and process of partnership with Product Management and Engineering Teams to create experiences that deliver growth (revenue and customer) for Best Egg

• Play the strategic role of aligning and influencing our product roadmaps with a Digital Experience Agenda that delivers differentiated customer results

• Collaborate with peers to orchestrate a greater experience ecosystem and find efficiencies across shared technologies that enable a holistic and consistent user experience

• Champion and communicate a point-of-view on Digital Design to our senior leadership team that helps our journey toward being a customer-first organization

• Define and implement Digital Design Process and tooling to unlock our ability to create industry leading experiences

What were looking for…

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in Product Design, User Experience or related field.

10 years’ experience growing both IC and Manager/Director level designers.

• Successful track record: Demonstrated success in building digital design teams, design systems and cultivating a design culture.

Ability to work strategically or be hands-on depending on the need.

• Technical Strength: Deep experience in early-stage discovery or exploration efforts along with scaled execution approaches and methodologies.

Expert in best practices in UX, design and information architecture across responsive web, iOS, and Android.

Experience with current design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, etc.) Project planning, time management, and collaboration skills.

Understanding of how to use data analytics, user testing and research to inform and validate design decisions and focus on constant improvement.

• Build Strong Teams: Ability to hire, motivate and develop staff demonstrating a commitment to inclusion and diversity.

• Communication and Influence: Strong executive presence.

Expert in defining Experience Visions and North Stars that help bring clarity and alignment to the organization.

Builds support and consensus with stakeholders by bringing them along throughout the development lifecycle.

• Inspirational: Communicates a compelling message with passion and conviction that brings out the best in people.

Serves as an evangelist for their area, inspiring others and embodying conviction that further rallies support.

• Relationship Builder: Great collaborator across teams.
