Summarized Purpose:Provides support to the procurement team and process with responsibility for placing purchaseorders, responding to related inquiries and maintaining accurate purchase order files.Essential FunctionsPurchases supplies, equipment, services, and materials and expedites delivery of goods asdirected.Monitors purchase orders for conformance to company policy.Investigates discrepancies between Purchasing, Receiving, and Accounts Payable systems asdirected.Obtains quotes from suppliers and sets up comparative worksheets for department analysts.Responds to routine internal requests for information concerning purchasing data and statusof material activities.Undertakes tasks and projects as assigned by purchasing management.Ensures Procurement processes are followed and helps identify improvements in operationalpractice.May mentor Procurement Coordinators.lifications: Education and Experience:High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent andrelevant formal academic / vocational qualificationTechnical positions may require acertificatePrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform thejob (comparable to at least 4 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, andexperience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic understanding of general ledger conceptsBasicunderstanding of purchasing principlesProficiency in Microsoft Office programsGood organizationaland time management skillsPossess the maturity to handle sensitive information and dataeffectivelyBasic analytical and quantitative abilitiesAbility to juggle multiple tasks while stilldelivering high quality resultsGood written and oral communications skillsAbility to interacteffectively with all levels of the organization and outside vendorsManagement Role:No managementresponsibility Working Conditions and Environment: Work is performed in an office or clinicalenvironment with exposure to electrical office equipment.

Occasional drives to site locations.Potential occasional travel required.Physical Requirements: Frequently stationary for 4-6 hours perday.

Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeatedmovements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.

Occasional mobility required.

Occasional crouching,stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.

Light to moderate lifting and carrying (orotherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house andoff-the-shelf.Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with theability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words andsentences.

May interact with others, relating and gathering sensitive information.

Interactionincludes diverse groups.Works with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions frommanagement.

May require periods of intense concentration.

Performs a wide range of variable tasksas dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to theoccurrence.
