The successful candidate for the position of Quality Inspector shall be fully capable of performing all job functions listed and possess all the qualifications, job skills, personal attributes, and physical requirements.

Job Tasks

Complies with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety rules.

Performs incoming, in-process and final inspections and makes appropriate notifications of inspection results as required.

Performs additional inspection activities as directed throughout production cycle.

Completes validation of traveler and process documentation through in-process and final inspection.

Maintains documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.

Ensures conformance to Watson-Marlow Flow Smart Quality Management System.

Utilizes measuring instruments with accuracy and care.

Maintains equipment/instruments as required.

Initiates material non-conformance as a result of inspection; places material on hold if necessary.

Maintains inspection areas as required.

Reviews requirements for packaging and labeling.

Prepares Quality documentation as required.

Assists in investigation of quality non-conformances.

Assist with EHS Program and Internal Auditing Program and conduct training as required
Assists with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Some college level coursework preferred.

Minimum: High School graduate
Must have a strong commitment to site excellence.

Excellent attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organizational skills
Ability to properly use test and measurement equipment (i.e., calipers, micrometers)
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift 15 kilograms (33 pounds)
Work overtime as required

Experience:

At least 2 yrs.

experience in a production environment as a quality inspector.

Proven work record to include the ability to perform all the following:
Working knowledge of Quality Systems and Regulations.

Problem solving in a time sensitive environment.

Ability to interface with all levels within the organization.

Ability to train all levels within the organization.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Good analytical and trouble-shooting skills.

Good written and oral skills.
