Job Details: WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Work with the Tax Department team to timely resolve tax issues arising in RBC and/or CNB trust accounts. Assist the Manager of the Tax Department to develop and implement needed procedures and become involved in projects where required

Private Banking Division
As a member of City National’s Private Banking group, you will help deliver tailored financial solutions to high- and ultra-high-net-worth families, select professional services firms and select nonprofits. Exceptional, customized service and integrated solutions and strategies, investment management, trust and wealth planning set this team apart.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Research and resolve tax issues arising in the administration of RBC and/or CNB trust accounts
  • Communicate with Administration, financial advisors, taxing authorities, KPMG and clients where required
  • Assist in the review and payment of trust estimates and withholdings
  • Provide support for functions performed by the Tax Department Staff Accountant

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • *Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience; Accounting degree preferred
  • *2+ years of Tax experience

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to review legal documents to determine tax consequences
  • Background in Trust accounting
  • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters OneSource Tax system a plus
