Veterans Preferred – CMP Metrology and Process engineer

DuPont Electronics and Imaging has an exciting opportunity for a Metrology and Process Engineer, CMP business located in Newark Delaware.

The candidate will be responsible for

? Perform lab-based measurements as requested by engineering teams using and operating SEM, DAFP, SP2, SP5, surface roughness, FX200, F5X, microscopes, and other lab equipment

? Provide technical consultation to others pertaining to measurement problems and assume a leadership role in technical project teams.

? Implement corrective and preventative action projects pertaining to calibration and measurement issues

? Take full responsibility of designing, developing and maintaining a world-class testing lab including process, capital investment, maintenance and design layout of infrastructure

? Prepare calibration procedures, plans and management of documentation

? Develop training plans and materials, conduct training and maintain professional competency

? Perform supplier quality audits and oversee supplier quality issues

? Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with complex calibration and metrology issues.

? Write exemplary test reports

? Correspond with Taiwan based team with test reports and status updates. Will require morning/evening calls 

Key Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in DuPont CMP metrology technologies
  • Lead the local Application Engineers in keeping up with industry trends in Metrology
  • Manage and develop local Best Know Methods
  • Support customers in troubleshooting issues, including optimize and customize the process to the specific customer requirements
  • Safety is a key value of the company and it is expected that the employee will participate in safety activities of the company.
  • Collaborate with global team members to improve technical expertise and learning.
  • Communicate project results and progress to technical teams and leadership.
  • Additional duties tracking SPC for process equipment
  • Development strategy for SPC failure responses on Metrology and Process equipment

  • Sales, Marketing and Global Field Service engineering community
  • Counterparts in Technology organizations and the greater technology community (Tech Service, Pad/slurry R&D and Applications labs)

REQUIREMENTS ? 

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required, M.S. preferred
  • Six sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred
  • Statistical Analysis (Python, R, Minitab)
  • Automation Skills (Excel Macros)
  • Ability to read and analyze mechanical and electrical diagrams
  • Strong communications skills
  • Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus but not required

PREFERED SKILLS ?

  • 5+ years of engineering experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Communication at all levels from operator to Upper management
  • Strategic thinking and developing a business function from the ground up
  • Proven business acumen combined with technical execution 
  • Customer service mindset
