The Legal Specialist is responsible for providing legal support services for one or more states or functions and/or for routine litigation through a variety of legal assignments and projects which utilize knowledge specific to the company Location: Remote; Open to all US locations Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Prepares, analyzes and evaluates legal documents, memorandum, reports, and/or filings.

Prepares and organizes case research, notes, and legal documents.

Conducts legal research and analysis, and recommends appropriate course of action and next steps.

Performs fact checking, gathers documents, researches and responds to subpoenas and record requests and assists with investigative and discovery activities and processes.

Monitors state and federal legislation affecting the corporation.

Assists with regulatory governance and compliance issues, corporate governance issues, and and/or filings and licensing.

Identifies required information for databases or other document management systems.

Assists with projects.

Qualifications Requires a H.S.

diploma and a minimum of 2 years of legal or related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Paralegal Certification, JD or AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field preferred.

Legal experience in the Healthcare or managed care environment preferred.
