Legal Assistant

DiPietro Law, LLC is expanding its team to include a Legal Assistant to serve clients in our estate and trust administration practice. Candidate must be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple deadlines, compassionate with people dealing with difficult circumstances and team-focused. Experience is preferred and compensation will be offered accordingly.

DiPietro Law is located in Millsboro, Delaware. We help clients in Delaware and Maryland develop and maintain effective estate plans, preserve benefits through special needs planning, qualify for long term care benefits such as Medicaid and VA Aid and Attendance pension, and administer the affairs of a loved one after disability or death. Clients trust us to provide straightforward solutions to complicated legal matters with compassion, professionalism, and a dedication to excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, review, scan, and organize documentation and other information at various stages of administration.
  • Prepare legal documents for attorney review and file documents with the Register of Wills and Court.
  • Coordinate and lead client meetings, including signing meetings.
  • Abide by important internal and external processes, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Correspond with clients, related parties, Register of Wills and Court on behalf of attorney and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a related industry
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Candidate must be a notary public or eligible and willing to become a notary public.
