General Laborer

Staffmark

This is a Full-time position in Milford, DE posted June 5, 2021.

This department cooks and cans clam meats, clam juices and other products such as soups and sauces and non-clam soups and broths.

  • Must be able to work a variable schedule, Monday through Saturday, based on production requirements. Prolonged standing in cold or warm environments.
  • Must wear all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and align with workplace safety rules.
  • Must align with and follow all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Perform heavy lifting while assisted.

Duties can include, but not limited to:

  • Ensure meat and/or juice is accurately dispensed into cans and in turn cans are accurately sealed for cooking.
  • Load, weigh, and dump ingredients on individual containers for cooking.
  • Operate kettles, fillers, can seamers and other equipment as the need arises by production schedule.
  • Inspect product on a production line for quality and foreign material.
  • Perform checks and counts as required by quality standards. (Must be able to read, write and perform basic math).
  • Maintain flow of empty cans to the production line(s).
  • Packaging and stacking various forms of product to include frozen, raw, bagged, or canned.
