Fund Administrator IV

M&T Bank

This is a Full-time position in Wilmington, DE posted June 10, 2021.


Working closely with Fund Administration management and team, oversees matters related to financial reporting, regulatory matters, accounting policy, internal control documentation, issue resolution, ad-hoc reporting and business development requests.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Report to management for all strategic initiatives, such as system enhancements and technology implementations.            

    Manage team operational projects.         

    Plan and coordinate the implementation of all operational steps to implement fund launches, mergers and liquidations and other business initiatives.      

    Document required accounting policies.

    Identify and implement improvement opportunities.          

    Make recommendations and implement new workflow, process or system enhancements to continually enhance operational efficiency.          

    Assist Sales team with driving new business, including participating in onsite client sales.     

    Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

    Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

    Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

    Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field and a minimum of 5 years’ related work experience in Collective Fund or Mutual Fund Administration, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years‘ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ related work experience in Collective Fund or Mutual Fund Administration

Experience participating on sales efforts

Experience training less experienced staff on complex financial concepts

Experience assisting with internal audits and regulatory exams      

Experience developing and onboarding new products        

Experience communicating with senior management and external parties 

Education and Experience Preferred:

Master’s degree in related field

Minimum of 9 years’ related work experience in Collective Fund or Mutual Fund Administration

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and/or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
