This is a Contract position in Millsboro, DE posted November 25, 2021.

As the lead for QA testing within Sprout Mortgage, you’ll work to build out the formal QA processes and resources required to support multiple areas, including enterprise application and custom-built solutions for retail, wholesale, correspondent, and loan manufacturing systems inside a developing digital ecosystem for the mortgage industry.

You will implement a testing strategy for third party applications and internally developed tools and build a QA team from scratch utilizing both internal resources and global staff augmentation companies.

You will be asked to wear many hats and be a front-line contributor.

You will be the voice of testing/QA for entire department and answer any questions and educate our business partners in QA best practices.

We are looking for a Do-It-All Rockstar who is great at building relationships, someone who will go the extra mile, wants to help build market defining products, and build a team/area of expertise from scratch.

Responsibilities Design/build QA Testing capabilities and global team within a young IT Department, focusing on Enterprise Application Release Testing, Project Implementation Testing, and custom product development QA acceptance testing.

Work in an Agile environment where innovation, teamwork, and creativity are the pillars of success.

Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts such as test data and data validation including test results to ensure that every phase and installed feature of products implemented/built are tested and that any potential issues are identified and fixed before the solution goes live.

Evaluate and document results of manual and automated tests into executive reports and any release notes.

Work with the product, support, and customer success teams to replicate customer issues and application use cases when required.

Develop and implement an improved and repeatable process for defect tracking, logging, reporting, and trend analysis.

Define and implement a long-term strategy and approach to both regression, smoke, performance and stress testing at the API, micro-services, and database layers.

Desired Skills & Experience Required Prior experience in both leading a global Quality Assurance team, as well as hands-on experience in a QA role, preferably with finance/mortgage knowledge.

Strong knowledge of software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.

Ability to meet with various business/client partners to understand their needs and testing challenge.

Experience working within standard Agile methodologies, including, but not limited to, Scrum and Kanban.

Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritize both your own and your team’s workload.

Ability to solve complex problems in a systematic and organized way.

Experience developing and maintaining formal test documentation and reports including quality assurance metrics.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or foreign equivalent required.

Preferred Experience working with new product development.

Experience with DocuTech, Loan Management System (LMS), Optimal Blue, and/or Encompass.

Experience in building QA capabilities and teams from scratch.

Strong analytical skills with an understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Learns quickly when facing new problems, enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks, and is willing to experiment and try anything to find solutions.

Ability to effectively manage and facilitate meetings.

Self-motivated, strong initiative, flexible and good time management skills Good knowledge on Mortgage Rules & Regulations as well as mortgage related data.
