Software Quality Assurance Manager


This is a Full-time position in Wilmington, DE posted June 18, 2021.

WSFS Bank is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Manager.

The Software Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing, documenting and maintaining software test strategies, plans, data strategy, and automation.

The Software Quality Assurance Manager will lead and manage automated and manual testing efforts across multiple project teams.

The Software Quality Assurance Manager will be directly responsible to expand and organize our application testing strategy and capabilities.

This role is a working management position to define, develop, and implement QA/QC strategy, governance and project level solutions for multiple applications, 3rd party software and teams.

Role Responsibilities:
Understand how all elements of the WSFS and 3rd party software ecosystem work together and develop test driven QA approach with automation that fit the overall strategy.

                                           Own quality assurance operations including test plan development and management, day-to-day prioritization, QA environments, QA data, and testing automation.

                         Document quality assurance policies and procedures.

                                                                                                Oversee and participate in test execution / testing cycles.

Empowered to identify, execute, and communicate opportunities for improvement in QA throughout the project lifecycle.

                                                                                              Manage quality assurance team.

                                                                                              Foster a positive and proactive work environment, emphasizing respect for individuals, high standards of quality, customer service, innovation and teamwork.

Design and development of QA best practices as well as review processes to ensure consistency.

Establish quantitative metrics to demonstrate adherence to best practices.

Track QA execution metrics and reporting QA results to development managers and technology executives.

Constantly evaluate ways to improve quality and coverage to QA processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technology discipline or combination of education and/or equivalent work experience.

  Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or Quality Assurance Lead and/or other similar relevant experience.

 Prior banking and/or financial services industry experience preferred.

Must have 3-5 years of experience with software automation testing tools such as Selenium, Confluence, Cucumber.  Experience with test strategy development and execution as well as test data strategy development and execution.  Strong ability to execute and work independently with good judgement and proper level of escalation when required.

  Working knowledge of software applications, database structures, including internet, intranet, client-server, and reporting technologies.

 Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management using Agile and Waterfall methodologies  Ability to discern quality/defect trends via testing data, metrics, reports.

Ability to assess, propose and implement solutions/continuous improvements.

Expert knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes Experience working with financial systems preferred.

Must be able to demonstrate effective and professional written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.

Must have strong project management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize.  Ability to collaborate well up and down the organization in a fast-paced work environment.

Ability to autonomously multitask across projects.

Adaptable to the rapidly changing requirements of a fast-paced organization.
