Data Science Intern

Air Liquide R&D centers, hosting a wide range of competencies, support the Group in achieving the highest level of excellence in the technologies it provides to its customers.

The Delaware Innovation Campus (ICD) in Newark, DE provides innovation and technical support to Air Liquide’s businesses and markets in the Americas and worldwide.

Our Delaware Innovation Campus, inaugurated in 2007, leads research and technology initiatives in 8 scientific and engineering disciplines.

With researchers from 21 different countries, the Campus had the distinction of being named to the 2015 Philly Top Workplaces by the Philadelphia Inquirer and and cited in 2016 by the Delaware Business Times as one of “13 Cool Companies in Delaware.” In 2017 we celebrated our 10th anniversary in Delaware and over 3,600 days without a recordable accident!

Job Responsibilities

The Data Science Intern will have the opportunity to work with the Data Science team at Air Liquide’s Delaware Innovation Campus, and tackle challenging problems focusing on customers, patients and operations.

This role will be a full time internship beginning in January 2022 and will last approximately 6 months.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support the development of predictive models and their calibration
Data wrangling, process automation, visualization and visualization interface development
Interact with Air Liquide’s Research Scientists and Academic Researchers
Serve as a safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness; adhere to and support the continuous improvement of all safety practices / procedures.

Qualifications & Competencies
Currently enrolled in an MS program in Data Science or Engineering
Prior internship experience
Experience with R and/or Python, preferably Python
Demonstrates strong process and operational safety behavior at all times.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral)
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and international teams

Flask based interface development
Knowledge of AWS cloud operations
