Student Worker - OWU Daily Intern
Purpose/Objective of the Role:
The student will work daily Monday-Thursday – typically late afternoon/early evening as well as approximately 1 hour on Sunday night – to help compile Ohio Wesleyan’s e-newsletter, the OWU Daily.
Duties include editing, fact-checking, and posting information for the newsletter.
The intern also may help to share event information by posting on other community calendars and with special projects as time permits.

Qualifications/Skills:
Strong writing and spelling ability required. Knowledge of WordPress and AP style helpful. Dependability is critical, as the OWU Daily is published every morning class is in session.
The ideal candidate will be available to work a minimum of one hour per day, preferably late afternoon/early evening. Majors in English or Journalism preferred, but others are encouraged to apply.
Student will be trained by staff.
Potential Future Career Benefit:
This internship will be beneficial for anyone interested in a communication field, especially internal / business communication or event marketing.
Student also will become proficient at using WordPress and BigTree, which has broad communication applications, and improve copy- and content-editing skills.
